Popular Cape Winelands Half Marathon
The Safari Half Marathon is taking place on Workers Day, May 1st. This event is taking place in the heart of the Cape Winelands and is synonymous with Wellington. The flagship event is the half marathon and a must for any roadrunner. The Safari Half Marathon offers a fun filled day for young and old with a 5 km and 10 km fun run for the less serious runner.
Catering For Different Race Types
Over the years the event has made some changes to cater for different race types. Trail runners will be happy to know that a 14 km and 20.5 km trail routes are also available.
Multiple Charities to Benefit
The Safari Half Marathon is a run in accordance with the rules of ASA and Boland Athletics. The charity that will be the beneficiary is House Andrew Murray and Youth Care Center. The venue to host this event is Hugenote High School, Wellington. The trail routes starts at Genl Hertzog Boulevard next to Hugenote High School.
